VT/CARACAL Program

Our program in Botswana integrates research with education and outreach to the community with our partner CARACAL. From water quality to teaching kids about animals in the wetlands system- our work seeks to be inclusive and sustainable. As an additional service, Dr. Alexander and other CARACAL staff provide support to the treatment, care, and capture of wildlife as needed in the wetlands system in collaboration with the Botswana Government. Injured and orphaned animals are used in our hands-on conservation education program.
